Description

These chewy homemade granola bars are the perfect snack to satisfy your cravings in a healthy way. Packed with wholesome oats, nuts, seeds, and a hint of sweetness, they’re easy to make and can be customized with your favorite mix-ins. Great for breakfast, post-workout, or as a snack on the go!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup almond butter (or peanut butter)
  • 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips (optional)
  • 1/4 cup dried fruit (raisins, cranberries, or apricots)
  • 1/4 cup sunflower seeds (or other seeds/nuts)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  • Mix the wet ingredients: In a small saucepan, combine honey (or maple syrup) and almond butter over medium heat. Stir until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
  • Combine dry ingredients: In a large bowl, mix the rolled oats, seeds, dried fruit, salt, and vanilla extract.
  • Combine the wet and dry: Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until everything is evenly coated. If you want to add chocolate chips, stir them in at the end.
  • Press into the pan: Transfer the mixture into the prepared baking pan and press it down firmly to compact it.

  • Bake for 12-15 minutes, until the edges are golden brown. Let cool completely before slicing into bars.

Notes

  • Storage: Store granola bars in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week. For longer storage, refrigerate for up to 2 weeks.
  • Customization: Feel free to add your favorite mix-ins like nuts, seeds, or even coconut flakes for a tropical twist.

  • Binding: If the mixture feels too crumbly, add a little more honey or almond butter to help it stick together.
