Ingredients
Scale
- 12 oz white chocolate (chips or chopped bar)
- 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
- 2–3 tablespoons fresh key lime juice
- 1 teaspoon lime zest
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- Sea salt (optional, for topping)
Instructions
- Prepare the pan: Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper for easy removal.
- Melt white chocolate: In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt the white chocolate and butter, stirring constantly to avoid burning. Alternatively, use the microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring between each.
- Add condensed milk: Once the chocolate and butter are smooth, add the sweetened condensed milk and stir until fully combined.
- Add lime juice and zest: Stir in the key lime juice and lime zest for that signature tart flavor.
- Pour and set: Pour the mixture into the prepared pan, spreading it evenly. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours until firm.
- Serve: Cut the fudge into small squares. Optionally, sprinkle with a pinch of sea salt before serving.
Notes
- For a tropical twist, add shredded coconut or graham cracker crumbs.
- Make sure to use fresh lime juice for the best flavor.
- For a vegan version, swap out the white chocolate for dairy-free options and use coconut milk instead of sweetened condensed milk.
